Today I am selling a ONE original EMPTY Mauser BRASS SHELL with SS marking from WW2 in good used condition. It is metal detecting find – after cleaning. It was produced for Waffen SS units in 1938. SIZE: lenght: 56.7mm, diameter (base) 11.7mm. Total weight: 10.7g. The condition and all details you will find in the pictures. 100% original old item from WW2 era in good used condition. RARE !!!

SS-TV DWM 1938 headstamped 7.92x57mm Cases for the Mauser 98k.
Cartridges cases headstamped “SS-TV DWM 1938” are rare pre-war production examples of German 7.92x57mm ammunition manufactured by DWM (Deutsche Waffen – und Munitionsfabriken) for use in the standard German service rifle, the Mauser 98k. The marking SS-TV is generally interprated as reffering to SS-TOTENKOPFVERBANDE (SS-TV), the early SS formationresponsible for guard and training duties prior to the expansion of the Waffen SS. Unlike standard Wehrmacht ammunition, which typically carried only manufacturer and date codes , these cases bear a specific SS designation – a feature considered highly unusual for the late 1930’s. Known examples are limited mainly to pre-war years (1937-1939), and documented headstamp variations are few. Surviving specimens suggest relatively small production runs compared to regular army contracts. No complete surviving factory records confirm exact Quantities, but collectors regard these cases as scarce special contract items rather than standard mass-issue production. Today “SS-TV DWM 1938” cases are of historical interest due to their uncommon SS – related marking and their connection to the early pre-war period of German rearmament.
