Today I am selling an original WW2 German metal SPOON. It is German DAF SPOON with LEITZ logo. The emblem is associated with products manufactured by Ernst Leitz GmbH, most famously recognized for producing Leica cameras. There are makers marks on the spoon: “C ROSTFREI-STAHL” and: ” M.D.A  Sch.d.A” – It means: Modell Des Amtes/Schonheit der Arbeit – Model of the Office/Beauty of Work with DAF coghweel.  It is made of steinless steel. Length 21cm , Weight: 68.4g. The condition and all details you will find in the photos. 100% original item made before 1945. RARE !!

LEITZ is a company now located in WETZLAR Germany. They produced fine optical equipment (binoculars, cameras, glasses…) The factory started production before WW2. By the 1930s the family-owned firm of Leitz, Inc., was internationally recognized as a premier German brand. During the Nazi period, and throughout WW2, Leitz produced cameras, range-finders, and other optical systems for the Nazis. Leica camera manufacturing continued to deteriorate throughout 1944/45 as the allies carried out air attacks and heavily bombed Wetzlar. Shortages of raw materials disrupted production and Leitz also saw a gradual reduction in skilled workers, as they were assigned to militarily more important work and several highly skilled toolmakers and engineers were transferred to the German atomic bomb project, ‘Uranverein’ (uranium club).

THE ONLY METHOD OF PAYMENT IS PAYPAL. I WILL SEND THE ITEM WITHIN 7 DAYS AFTER PAYMENT RECEIVED.
