I am selling 100% original WW2 German silver plated LOBSTER FORK from Herman Goering’s private dining car. Deutsche Reichsbahn – German National Railways. Obverse there is German eagle with the swastika straddled by the “D” and “R” (Deutsche Reichsbahn) on the fork. It is in very good used condition. Size: lenght 15.4cm. Weight – 25.3g. Reverse there is BRUCKMANN & SOHNE maker;s mark: capital “B” (Bruckmann) with a locomotive symbol followed bya “90” and number – “241” on the spoon. It is original German silver plated LOBSTER FORK from WW2 era. It belonged to Herman Goering. Very RARE item. 100% genuine !!! This fork needs good cleaning. Wagon number 10 241 of the Deutsche Reichsbahn was the primary dining car of HERMAN GOERING, one of the most powerful figures in Nazi Germany and commander of the Luftwaffe. This carriage was part of his personal special train, known as SONDERZUG “ASIEN”.
Delivered in 1937, wagon 10 241 was later modernized in 1941, receiving upgrades such as an electric kitchen and inderect fluorescent lighting. During this refurbishment Goering temporarily used another dining car, number 10 243.
The exclusivity of this wagon is further evidenced by custom silverware produced specifically for it. All items were crafted by the Buckmann Company , each marked with the number: “241” and adorned with the Deutsche Reichsbahn eagle and swastika emblem.
