Today I am selling a SET of 2 original good quality LARGE SIZE (26.4mm) BUTTONS. I think they are Army Staff College or Combined Services Staff College buttons. Both are made of white metal with maker mark: “FIRMIN LONDON” on the reverse side. Good used condition. SIZE: diameter – 26.4mm. There is Kings Crown and an owl and blow Latin motto: “TAM MARTE QUAM MINERVA”. In translation it means: “as much by Mars as Minerva” (as much by war as by wisdom) This crest was current in the period 1907 – 1947. This set of 2 buttons would look great in any militaria collection. The condition and all details you will find in the pictures. Rare military buttons !!
