Today I am selling original German badge in used condition. It is WOUND BADGE in black (Verwundetenabzeichen). It is made of steel (magnetic). There is maker mark: “L/56” on the reverse side of the badge. L/56 – mark used by maker FUNCKE & BRUNINGHAUS, It is LDO number. Ludenscheid. This badge is complete with original pin not damaged. Size: 44.2mm x 36.9mm. Weight: 13.4g. It is original German badge from WW2 era. The condition and all details you will find in the pictures.
GERMAN WOUND BADGE WAS GIVEN TO ANY MEMBER OF THE ARMED FORCES WHO WAS WOUNDED IN ACTION. THERE WERE 3 CLASSES: BLACK, SILVER AND GOLD. THIS BADGE WAS WORNON THE BREAST AT THE LEFT-HAND SIDE OF THE TUNIC.
